HONGFA HFE82V-60B is a hermetically sealed high-voltage DC contactor rated for 60A continuous current and 450V/750V DC load voltage. Its ceramic brazing seal with hydrogen gas filling prevents arc leakage and contact oxidation, meeting IP67. The single-pole 1 Form A contact, 5.2W coil and M4 screw load terminals make it well suited to EV/PHEV main and pre-charge circuits, low-speed electric vehicles and energy-storage DC switching.
Ceramic brazing technology with hydrogen gas filling prevents arc leaking, oxidation and burnout of contacts – no fire or explosion risk, rated IP67 for harsh automotive environments.
Breaks up to 600A (450V DC, 1 operation) – 10× rated current – giving a wide safety margin for pre-charge, main-relay and fault-isolation duties.

Both share the same 60A continuous rating, 5.2W coil and 64×33×54.45mm outline. The 450V type is specified for 400V-class DC-link voltages while the 750V type covers higher-voltage systems. A 1000V DC type is available in the ordering scheme. Max switching power is 54kW for the family.
It is a single-pole, 1 Form A (SPST-NO) contactor. The “2-Phase / 2-Pole” wording on some listing pages comes from a template error and is not part of the HONGFA datasheet, which specifies contact arrangement 1 Form A, single contact.
It is the one-time fault-break capability: HFE82V-60B can break 600A at 450V DC for one operation. It is not a continuous rating – continuous carrying is 60A (85°C), with short overloads up to 600A for 0.6s per the current-carrying curve.
12V DC and 24V DC coils are standard, both rated 5.2W. Pick-up voltage is ≤75% of rated voltage, drop-out ≥1/2 rated. Coil and load terminals have no polarity requirement, so wiring direction does not matter.
HONGFA's family matrix places HFE82V-60B in passenger EV/PHEV (main, pre-charge, fast-charge and auxiliary roles) and mild / low-speed electric vehicles. It also suits energy-storage and DC distribution switching up to 750V DC.
HFE82V-60B carries 60A continuous with 600A breaking and 54kW max switching power, versus 40A continuous with 400A breaking on the smaller HFE82V-40. Both share the ceramic hermetic-seal IP67 platform, no-polarity design and 450V/750V load options, but 60B uses a larger 64×33×54.45mm package with 5.2W coil (~160g) against the 40's 67×32.6×47mm / 3W / 160g class.
