HUDSON: The Wuxi Fuse Maker for 2,000 V DC
A pack fuse has one job: be the last device standing when everything upstream fails. Hudson Electric has built nothing but fuses since 2016, and its range now runs from 20 A to 3,300 A across 800 V, 1,500 V and 2,000 V platforms.
Hudson Electric (Wuxi) Co., Ltd. sits in Wuxi, Jiangsu, and combines research, manufacturing and sales in one operation. Its engineering group is built around fuse design, with many of the senior staff carrying more than 15 years in the field, and the company holds IATF 16949, UL and CE certifications alongside a set of core technology patents. That narrow focus is the point: a supplier that only makes fuses tends to know where the failure modes hide.
Its stated remit is reliable protection for power and energy storage battery systems, electric propulsion and traction, power electronic conversion and control, graphene energy applications, and solar cell arrays — which maps closely onto the DC faults our customers bring us: a shorted cell string, a backfeeding PV array, a stalled traction inverter.

Where these fuses end up
Hudson lists new energy vehicles, intelligent distribution robots (AGVs), rail transit, aerospace vehicles, civil and military ships, nuclear, wind and solar plants with storage, industrial automation equipment, and communication gear including satellite and radar. It is a wide list, but the underlying duty is the same everywhere: hold the circuit closed, then open it fast enough that the semiconductors survive.
Fuse selection is a coordination problem, not a catalogue lookup. A fuse with the right amp rating can still be the wrong part if its I²t does not clear the contactor before the contacts weld. Send us the system voltage, continuous current and prospective fault current, and we will size the fuse and the contactor as one matched pair, with datasheets and a quote.
