Albright International is one of the very few contactor makers that still designs and manufactures its own complete product range — and it has been doing so from Whitchurch, England since 1955.
Founded in 1946 and still family-owned through its third generation, Albright began building its own contactor range in 1955. Today the group runs factories in the UK, Lithuania and China, sales offices across Europe and Japan, and a distributor network covering more than 100 contactor and emergency-disconnect types with over 10,000 unique part numbers.
That scale came from focus, not diversification. Albright contactors have earned a default position in electric vehicles, forklifts and material handling, telecom power, welding equipment, rail and marine systems — industries where a DC switch has to survive vibration, dust and decades of service. The materials are the reason: thermosetting contact housings, silver alloy contact tips, Class H coil insulation and self-lubricating armature bearings. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 apply across all three plants, and Curtis Instruments (a Parker Hannifin company) distributes the range exclusively in the Americas, India and China.
If your platform needs a proven, sealed 1000 V DC switch from a manufacturer with 70 years of DC-only heritage, send us your voltage, continuous current and coil preference. We will match the right HV500F or HV500AF part with a datasheet and a quote.
