Q1: What does the "P" in HFE85P-300 mean?

Per HONGFA ordering information, P designates the PV and energy-storage application family. The sample code 1000-12-HAL5P-5 means 1000V DC load voltage, 300A contact rating, 12V DC coil, 1 Form A main contact, 1 Form A auxiliary contact, lead-wire coil termination, M6 internal-thread load terminal, energy-saving coil with single-coil PWM drive.

Q2: How does the energy-saving coil work?

The single coil is driven by a PWM economizer: it draws 26W to pick up and seal the armature, then the duty cycle is reduced to hold at only 3W. This cuts holding losses by up to 88%, reducing heat and auxiliary power draw in ESS cabinets.

Q3: Is HFE85P-300 polarity sensitive?

Yes. Both the load circuit and the coil drive have a polarity requirement, so + and - terminals must be wired correctly. The auxiliary contacts (when fitted) are non-polarized. Follow the wiring diagram printed on the product drawing.

Q4: How does HFE85P-300 compare with HFE85P-150 and HFE85P-250?

All three share the same 80.4 × 62.3 × 72.8 mm sealed package.
